Caught On Camera: Bowland Through the Seasons

My Camera Never Lies: Share the majesty of Bowland - and bag a weekend away
October 25, 2022

Whether you're an experienced photographer, or a keen amateur, the team at Forest of Bowland AONB love to see your images that capture the beauty and opportunities this outstanding area has to offer year-round.

These might include landscape or wildlife images, or people enjoying activities in the area - whatever captures Bowland at its best through every season. And now's the perfect time to share, with the return of Bowland's Annual Photographic Competition.

Mark Harder: Short Eared Owl

There is a fantastic first prize up for grabs for whoever takes the best image: a 2-night stay at Laythams Hayloft (low season) kindly donated by Laythams Holiday Lets Retreats

The winner and shortlisted images will appear in the 2023 printed Bowland Discovery Guide and on AONB supported websites and social media.

But you haven't got long. The presses are about to start rolling - and the closing date for the competition is Monday 21st November 2022.

A shortlist will be made by the AONB team and the finalists will then go to a public vote (via social media and the AONB website) week commencing 28th November. To submit your favourite images (Up to 3) please upload via the AONB website at: www.forestofbowland.com/upload-your-photos

Naomi Barnes: "I Think We're Being Followed"

Images can be taken from any season, so if you didn't manage to take some summer shots, there's still chance to get out and capture the best of Bowland in the autumn sunshine. The fantastic team at the AONB are looking forward to seeing all of your submissions!
