They kick off this Sunday 19th with the award-winning Colorado bluegrass trio, The Stillhouse Junkies. Winners of the International Bluegrass Music Association’s 2021 Band Momentum Award, the band perform a blend of bluegrass, Americana, Western Swing and country roots. They have released three albums to date and recently signed to Nashville's Dark Shadow Recording label.
The Live Room presents around thirty five shows a year in Saltaire featuring artists from the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland and even Australia.
Hilary Booth of the organisation says: “Like many others in the arts and entertainment industry, we were badly affected by the pandemic and lockdowns and it has taken a huge effort to get up and running again with all the subsequent uncertainty. Add it the cost of living crisis and it really puts grassroots organisations like us under serious threat. Luckily, we have a very loyal following and membership that has kept us going through the past two years, so we’re hopeful that we can ride this difficult period out. We’ve a great programme coming up and it really helps when people buy tickets in advance!”
