Experience the Eternal: Millennium Square Presents Tribute Extravaganzas for Summer Spectaculars
Millennium Square invites you to embark on a nostalgic voyage this summer, as it unveils two unforgettable tribute headline shows for its annual Summer Series in August.
On August 1st, immerse yourself in Legend: The Music of Bob Marley, a captivating journey through the immortal sounds of the reggae icon. Fresh from the West End, this two-hour tribute extravaganza breathes life into Bob Marley's timeless classics, including "Could You Be Loved," "Is This Love," and "No Woman No Cry," among a plethora of reggae gems.
The following day, August 2nd, heralds the triumphant return of The Magic Of Motown to Millennium Square, hailed as 'one of the greatest success stories in British theater history'.
Join music enthusiasts in celebrating the soulful sounds of a generation, as the enduring music of Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson, and more, is brought to life by a talented ensemble and band. Now in its 19th year, this sensational concert spectacle takes audiences on a melodic journey through Motown Records’ legendary repertoire of hits, including Ain’t No Mountain, Signed Sealed Delivered, Grapevine, Get Ready, Dancing In The Streets, My Girl, Blame It On The Boogie, All Night Long, and many others.
"Brace yourselves for 40 timeless Motown classics in rapid succession," announces show producer Michael Taylor, "coupled with dazzling costume changes, electrifying dance routines, and exceptional musicianship, making for an explosive concert experience."
The evening will also showcase the remarkable production 'Give Me the Night’, featuring the brand-new George Benson tribute show that is sweeping the UK by storm. Headlined by the internationally renowned Nat Augustin, the show pledges a medley of hits from the American soul sensation, including Never Give up on a Good Thing, Love Times Love, In Your Eyes, Lady Love Me (One More Time), Shiver, The Greatest Love of All, Turn Your Love Around, On Broadway, Feel Like Making Love, and many more.
Set in a specially crafted outdoor arena on Millennium Square, the events will kick off respectively at 7pm and 6.30pm. An onsite licensed bar and multiple street food vendors will be available, and the venue is fully accessible, equipped with a raised viewing platform, disabled toilets, and a Changing Places unit.
