After a busy lead-up to Christmas, Bolton Cancer Voices are back in rehearsals and keen to welcome new members to their vibrant choral community.
Membership of the Choir is open to anyone 18 years and over, who has received a cancer diagnosis of any kind at some point in their life.
Formed nearly 14 years ago, the Choir - currently numbering 35, a third of whom are men - set out to combine the uplifting joy of singing with the establishment of a forum for cancer patients and cancer survivors to meet with others sharing a similar life experience.
Karen Elliott - Founder of Bolton Cancer Voices explains: "Not only is singing a great, fun activity to get involved in, Choirs are community - enabling people to connect, share their passion and enjoy great choral experiences.
"They are recognised as offering health and wellbeing benefits, provide learning, development and a place to grow in confidence. Friendships blossom, voices soar and precious memories are made."
"What's not to love?!"
Whether you live across Bolton or beyond, a novice singer or a seasoned pro, the Choir are waiting to hear from you. There's no requirement to read music, no audition to worry about and what's more, the Choir is free!
